We are looking for a skilled and proactive Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Manager, who will predominantly oversee Accounts Receivable with a supplementary focus of accounts payable.
About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for leading and guiding a small team of AR/AP professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes while meeting our target DSO and DPO objectives.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Supervise and lead a team of Accounts Receivable and Payable officers.
- Manage customer accounts within assigned channels and maintain an overview of customer accounts assigned to team members.
- Monitor and manage debtors aging to minimise overdue invoices.
- Ensure the timely processing of claims within established time frames.
- Risk assessment of customer accounts (credit limit review, PPSR registration, credit checks).
- Foster and maintain positive relationships between AR/AP and other stakeholders.
- Act as the primary escalation point for issues and concerns related to AR/AP.
- Collaborate closely with the Financial Controller to establish specific, measurable, and achievable metrics for the team.
- Continuously review and improve processes and procedures for optimisation.
Skills and Experience:
- TAFE Cert III or Cert IV, Diploma or higher in accounting
- Experience in an Accounting role preferably within FMCG
- Experience in successfully managing or leading a team of professionals
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including to build relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to work as an effective member of a diverse team, as well as the ability to exercise independence, sound judgement and initiative by applying critical thinking and lateral problem-solving skills in overcoming obstacles within tight timeframes.

- Have a keen eye for continuous improvement and the willingness to adapt as required.
- Numerate with the ability to understand data and to interpret it in a lateral manner
