Are you a motivated Accounts Payable Manager? The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting a team and all aspects of Accounts Payable and related processes, including reconciliation, reporting, and monitoring associated controls and policies, supplier queries, and issues.
Key responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Provide expertise and guidance to the Accounts Payable team.
- Interpret legislation and regulatory compliance to ensure processes are set up and maintained accordingly.
- Ensure required work tasks are completed on time and without error, with a high level of customer service.
- Ensure that all suppliers’ invoices are controlled, recorded, processed, and paid in a timely and accurate manner. Provide management, review, and oversight of payment runs including manual and urgent payments.
- Ensure the team has appropriate training and resources to complete their role and established service levels are met.
- Manage and administer the Expenses Management Module, including but not limited to; business credit card use, unreceipted transactions, and expense approvals.
- Review and monitor team actions, identifying issues and suggest resolutions to rectify or mitigate, ensuring department and employee tasks are being met.
- Actively participate in projects, testing, and initiating change requests.
- Assist in the management and solutions to supplier queries.
- Maintain weekly and monthly reporting and reconciliations.
- Attend any relevant meetings and maintain knowledge of appropriate legislative, contractual, and procedural requirements so that accurate advice can be issued to the team to promote continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Group Finance Manager to set performance targets, team work plans, and more.
About you
The ideal candidate is able to meet the following selection criteria:
- Demonstrated experience with high-volume accounts role and managing a medium to large transactional team with proven successful outcomes.
- Working knowledge of accounts processes to provide sound advice and guidelines to others and support business unit needs.
- Well-developed communication, negotiating, and interpersonal skills to communicate with a diverse range of people effectively.
- Ability to effectively guide the team to ensure a timely and accurate service.
- High level time management and organisational skills to effectively plan, prioritise, and complete work tasks.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to review, analyse, and recommend solutions and to assist with daily problems and troubleshooting.
- High level data entry skills and strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency of client data.
- Strong decision-making skills and demonstrated ability in building quality relationships.
Qualifications and/or experience that are highly desirable for the role:
- Completion of relevant tertiary qualification in field such as business management, administration, finance.
- Ability to demonstrate resilience and sound judgment in dealing with the business and key stakeholders.
