We are looking for a high performing, result driven and action-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our team to support growth of the organisation. Your problem-solving ability and can-do attitude will set you apart from the rest.
You will be part of a dynamic team working to maintain accuracy and transparency in the organisation’s accounts. The objective of this role is to oversee all Accounts Payable (AP) functions for multiple sites across the Territory to ensure accuracy of our financial accounts and contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Responsible for overseeing all AP functions for multiple sites across the Territory
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Processing supplier invoices and preparing batches for payment
- Process three-way matching invoices
- Managing and responding to supplier and internal enquiries
- Supplier statement reconciliations, ensuring all items are analysed and cleared in a timely manner
- Assist in weekly, monthly and year-end activities
- Prepare reports and analysis
- Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation e.g. Goods and Services Tax and internal policies & procedures
- Implementing and maintaining appropriate AP controls and procedures
- Provide advice (and training) to the rest of the organisation in AP related matters
- Other finance and administrative tasks as directed.
What you will need to succeed
Essential:
- High level of computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office programs
- Knowledge and experience in a similar role
- Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously
- Strong attention to detail
Desirable:
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Previous experience in a not-for-profit organisation.
