Yamaha Motor Australia (YMA) has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our highly esteemed distribution business.
The role is within the Finance & Accounting (F&A) function, predominantly encompassing end-to-end management of the Accounts Payable function for our NZ businesses, ensuring accuracy whilst maintaining high-level of service.
You will continue support and build strong Partnerships both internal and external to the business, providing operational assistance, whilst aiding the accuracy and timeliness of payments & information.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Review & final approval of Vendor Requests.
- Process invoices against Manifests / Purchase Orders.
- Process weekly payment runs (i.e. local and international Suppliers).
- Reconcile Creditor payments to bank statements.
- Monitor aging purchase orders.
- Perform Accounts Payable month end closure.
- Prepare and process Creditor accruals.
- Review and approve Company credit card transactions.
- Manage Creditors email inbox and incoming phone calls.
- Provide support to the Finance & Accounting Team.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
To be successful in the role, you will require:
- Minimum 5-10 years’ Accounts Payable experience
- Effective problem resolution & time management skills
- Effective communications skills, both written and verbal
- Medium to advanced computer related skills
- Proactive approach to processes
