Accredited Nurse Immunisers

Variety of different corporate clients and services – Start: April 2024

Wage: $50 - $52/hr + travel reimbursement for working outside of metro areas

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with nationally recognised immunisation certificate, who is confident in cold chain management in mobile service environment?

We have casual and part time opportunities available and exciting opportunities to work within Corporate Health, we also offer occupational nursing roles after the flu season.

Corporate Health Management (CHM) is one of Australia’s leading providers of corporate health and wellbeing services. CHM delivers a wide range of health services, and we are looking for experienced nurses who can support the delivery of the following;

Main focus: Flu vaccinations and cold chain management

Occasional employment: Other vaccinations and occupational nursing roles (health checks).

  • You will deliver vaccinations in various settings, mainly onsite for our corporate and age care clients.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Nurse Immunisers (RNs): hands on immunising, liaising with local management on site, arranging work flow, independently working,
  • Administer appropriate vaccinations to eligible cohorts in accordance with CHM and government protocols, and industry scope of practice, in a variety of settings
  • Communicate evidence-based vaccine information to clients, and be an advocate for vaccination, understanding the principals of valid informed consenting prior vaccination
  • Ensure adequate set up and delivery of vaccination services onsite, in accordance with current covid safe and infection control guide lines
  • Ensure vaccines are stored and transported in accordance with the National Vaccine Storage Guidelines at all times, and appropriate management of any breaches - must have experience in cooler based, mobile cold chain management
  • Appropriately document vaccinations in accordance with relevant protocol (software provided)
  • Ensure adherence to CHM policies and procedures, and relevant government guidelines in the administration of vaccinations, and adherence to the (NHMRC) Australian Immunisation Handbook
  • Independent and confident management and documentation of adverse events following immunisation, in accordance with the relevant setting, and escalation to appropriate CHM personnel
  • Represent CHM within a variety of settings in a professional manner

  • Computer Literacy

Qualifications

  • Accredited Nurse Immunisers – Registered Nurse with Current Nurse Immuniser Qualifications recognised by the Chief Health Officer
  • Must have minimum of 1 year’s practical experience in immunisation and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Must have own vehicle to fit the vaccine cooler, and a valid driver’s license. Vaccines to be picked up and dropped off to the main office daily.
  • Health Assessment Nurses - Registered Nurse with experience in Allied Health, General Practice or General medicine are highly regarded but not required - experience in Spirometry & Audiometry testing is desired or willingness to participate in training.
  • Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
  • Exceptional customer service skills and cultural sensitivity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to best practice, highly ethical behavior, and complying with the scope of practice.
  • Recent anaphylaxis post immunisation training (practical course)
  • Current CPR, BLS or ALS certification
  • Minimum 2 years post-graduate clinical experience for RN’s
  • Must have current evidence Influenza vaccination, and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (3 doses)
  • Current National Police Check (within 12 months or CHM can do this on your behalf)
  • Cold chain management principals experience
