ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a dietitian to support the growth of Enable Fitness Centre, following the opening of our third site last year.

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the employee will be responsible for the delivery of Dietetics services at Enable Fitness Centre. Working as part of a large multidisciplinary team of Allied Health professionals, but independently as the sole dietitian at Enable Fitness Centre, the employee is responsible for service delivery planning, implementation, review, improvement and growth of dietetics services at Enable Fitness Centre, in collaboration with Management.

Our clinicians provide therapy and advice to clients with a range of conditions, including neurological conditions (spinal cord injury, brain injury, Parkinson’s Disease, MND, MS, Cerebral Palsy, stroke), amputee, intellectual disability, multi-trauma/orthopedic, and others. Some clients require support with PEG tube feeding.

Key roles and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

• Independently provide clinical evidence-based dietetics services through
  • Individual interventions and small group education sessions
  • Community or home dietetics consultations
  • Initial and review consultations
  • Clinical dietetics report writing and accurate clinical documentation
  • Correspondence with clients and their supports, relevant stakeholders or other health professionals

The position requires the employee to:

• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary Enable team and external stakeholders where necessary to ensure best practice, high level client care and continuity of care
• Contribute to service delivery planning and identify opportunities for quality improvement activities
• Administration including assisting with the management of personal booking sheets, in collaboration with management and administration staff
• Develop and maintain professional expertise working with people with a disability

DETAILS AND LOGISTICS

We are offering a permanent position, with part time hours available (approx 10-15 hours per week), depending on the availability and preferences of the applicant. Rostering of days/hours will be determined in conjunction with the successful applicant. The position will be based across all of our sites - Holden Hill, Marleston and Elizabeth.

ABOUT YOU

You are an AHP Level 1, 2 or 3 and must

• Demonstrate a competent to advanced level of professional knowledge and skill in providing clinical services
• Have experience in working with people with disability (this can include through placements)
• Experience working in a clinical setting is desirable but not essential; new graduates will be considered

You must hold the following qualifications and screenings:

• Accredited Practicing Dietitian credentials through Dietitians Australia (DA), including compliance with the professional development requirements and completion of a DA accredited university dietetics course
• Completion of the NDIS worker orientation module certificate
• In accordance with the SA Department of Human Services legislation:
  • working with children check
  • disability services employment check
