The Activity Support Partner deliver’s person-centred care and activities to participants. You will be implementing participant’s goals to ensure that their activities incorporate what is important for them and what is important to them. You will be providing active support which can include personal care, mobility support and more.
We have a number of permanent part-time roles available in Waitara NSW working across various days, Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm. During school holidays there will be the ability to pick up additional hours between 8am to 4pm.
Duties:
- Interacting positively with participants, families, carers, and stakeholders.
- Undertaking all required aspects of participant’s personal care.
- Making decisions using sound judgement to support and advocate for the participant.
- Accompanying participants on excursions or outings.
- Assisting the participants to implement their goals.
- Ensuring familiarity with the participant’s profile and always carry their emergency plan.
To be considered for this role you will:
- Experience or willingness to work with vulnerable people of all ages.
- NDIS workers check and completion of NDIS orientation.
- A current valid NSW Driver’s License and access to an insured vehicle.
- Current first aid certificate.
- A Working with children check.
