Your New Role:
You'll be responsible for providing Desktop Support to users associated with operating installed hardware and software. You'll also manage the procurement, maintenance and configuration of computer hardware, software and licenses.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing remote and face to face technical support to users' IT support issues;
- Thoroughly following through on all IT requests which may require working with partners to ensure business continuity;
- Responding to end user's requests and ensuring realistic resolution times are provided;
- Following processes and procedures to complete day to day helpdesk administrative and assigned tasks; ensuring delivery within the expected timeframe;
- Managing and maintaining consistently accurate and detailed helpdesk log entries;
- Effectively managing the procurement, maintenance and configuration of computer hardware, software and licenses;
- Accurately maintaining and updating the IT asset register;
- Assisting in ensuring all hardware and software installations and routine upgrades are implemented according to Service Level Agreements;
- Providing an effective interface between users and service providers supplying all necessary diagnostic information according to procedures;
- Consistently updating knowledge to align yourself with new IT infrastructure technologies;
- Assisting in maintaining regular backup cycles including the offsite storage of tapes for DRP purposes;
- Identifying common issues impacting the business and commence problem resolution or escalate as required; and
- Updating and creating support documentation as required to facilitate knowledge sharing.

Skills & Experience
Ideally you will have:
- A minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar Service Desk or Desktop Support role; and
- Strong experience supporting desktops/laptops, telephony, mobile devices and printers.
In addition to these technical responsibilities, you will possess:
- A fun, friendly, easy going and proactive personality with a passion for continuous self-improvement;
- A can-do attitude with a collaborative and collegiate approach;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with staff across all levels of the business;
- A methodical approach to your work with a high attention to detail; and
- Strong business partnering, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
