Work with Western Australia's leading safety and social education provider
Youth Choices, empowered by Constable Care, is seeking talented, versatile actors to work with young people of all ages in Perth and around Western Australia. We are very interested in meeting actors from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and strongly encourage actors of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage to apply.
Using improvised theatre, film making, and puppetry, we deliver our programs to metro, regional, and remote areas, in mainstream schools and other areas, such as curriculum reengagement schools and youth detention, to entertain and encourage the next generation to think critically and empathetically.
We are a flexible workplace and support and encourage our team of actors and performers to pursue their passions and goals, providing a range of positions across the casual and contracted part-time space.
Successful applicants will:
- Have professional acting experience and/or formal education in acting/drama
- Be very comfortable with improvisation
- Hold a valid WA C Class Driver’s License
- Be eligible and willing to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance
- Enjoy travel and occasionally be available for touring work
- Be willing to learn puppetry and mascot skills
Please send your CV, current photo, and showreel (if you have one) to Matt Stewart via email (****@constablecare.com.au), or contact Matt for a confidential discussion about the role. Suitable candidates will be invited to participate in an audition process.
