Actuarial Analyst

About the Role 

We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support our Actuarial & Analytics team at Defence Health. You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Provide reporting, data analysis and business insights that will drive performance outcomes and business improvements.
• Prepare relevant quarterly regulatory returns Provide support and assistance in financial forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Provide support and assistance in the provision of actuarial advice relating to pricing and product performance.
• Provide support and assistance in the provision of actuarial advice in insurance liability valuation, capital management and stress testing.
• Develop, refine and maintain quantitative models as required Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Communicate business analysis, insights and actuarial advice to key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Experience level - 1 to 4 years
• Knowledge of PHI industry and PHI profit drivers
• Expertise in actuarial techniques
• Advanced mathematical and financial aptitude In-depth understanding of relevant data and data models
• Superior analytical skills, research and problem solving skills
• Analytical, curious and inquisitive mind
• Strong customer focus
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Collaborative approach
