About the Roles:
The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is a leading provider of Healthcare Services across multiple healthcare facilities including Flinders Medical Centre and Noarlunga Health Services. Our Dietetic Service is integral in our aim to optimise healthcare outcomes for patients in our community.
SALHN have opportunities available for professional AHA2 Acute Dietetic Assistants to join our highly diverse and experienced team. Details of what the roles include:
- Providing assistance and support to the Dietetic & Nutrition Department in the delivery of allied health services.
- Performing a range of duties in the dietetic food service area, supporting patients on therapeutic diets with meal ordering.
- Adhering to meal cut off times and liaising with Food Service when issues arise.
- Using knowledge and skills with the menu Mangement system and cross-checking Diet order reports.
- Participating in on-the-job training, including education sessions on therapeutic diets provided by Dietitians.
Successful applicants will receive a thorough induction and orientation, and regular on-going clinical supervision.
About you:
- Willingness to learn new skills and develop areas of practice under the guidance of supervising Allied Health Professional and staff.
- Completed an Allied Health Assistance Certificate III training or higher with a Nutrition major.
- Experience working in a Dietetic & Nutrition Department or Food Service environment.
- Demonstrated competency in the clinical management of a broad range of conditions.
- Ability to initiate and lead change that results in improved outcomes and facilitates continuous quality improvement.
