About the Role:
As the Dietetic Allied Health Assistant, you will provide assistance and support to the Dietetic & Nutrition Department in the delivery of Dietetic Allied Health Services to patients. You will be expected to prioritise workload and will support the Dietetics & Nutrition team, liaise with food service, nursing staff and patients concerning the provision of therapeutic diets and escalate patients with poor oral intake to the dietitian for nutrition management plans.
Your responsibilities within this role will include:
- Preparing and reviewing Delegate and diet order reports before meal cut-off times,
- Handling late meal orders for diet changes beyond cut-off times,
- Collaborating closely with catering services to ensure dietary requirements are met,
- Providing support to Dietetic & Nutrition staff as needed,
- Maintaining effective communication with nursing staff and patients.
You must hold an Allied Health Assistance Certificate Level 3/4 training with a Nutrition major or higher degree in order to be considered for this role. For full details, please see the attached Role Description.
