The Role:
ATS Building Products has a permanent vacancy open for a Part time Import Officer to join out team.
Key Responsibilities
- Looking after ocean freight operations: bookings, shipment co-ordination and documentation follow up
- Co-ordinating shipments with transport, shipping lines and destination representatives
- Tracking and acquittal of all shipments - this includes the domestic transport and international movements
- Reviewing internal clients service reports
- Reviewing of bookings, OBL compliance and No Agent Report - daily
- Identifying potential issues and providing proactive problem solving
- Identifying opportunities to develop new services and revenue whilst reducing our cost to serve
Skills & Experience
- Experience within an import or export environment
- Knowledge of the sales process
- Global forwarding operations & market experience (i.e. competitors, carriers, clients & services)
- Experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders, with a strong customer focus and service ethic
- Commercial focus; business acumen - maximises performance
- Computer skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office including strong Excel skills
- Time management
- Previous experience within the shipping or international forwarding fields
