Who are St Pats?
St Patrick’s Community Support Centre (St Patrick’s) is committed to working in partnership with other agencies to support individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in obtaining stable accommodation, independence, and improved quality of life. We provide a range of services to support them on this journey, including emergency relief and meals, health and mental health services, drug and alcohol services, life skills training and a range of accommodation options.
Position Intention
The position will predominantly support the Human Resources area with administration tasks as well as providing some assistance to the wider Corporate Services team.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Provide administrative support to the HR area including preparation of job advertisements and position descriptions
- Maintain electronic employee files
- Assist with posting job advertisements on various platforms
- Assist with recruitment by scheduling interviews and keeping candidates informed
- Assistance with data entry including accuracy of data
- Scheduling of meetings, creating agendas, and minute taking
- Assisting with preparation of reports
- Ensure documentation and associated processes are maintained and accessible in appropriate formats
About you
- Excellent administration and data entry skills, including advanced skills in Office suite
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with service staff, service users and other professionals.
- Familiar with CRM, Human Resource or other Information systems
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and ability to work independently when required
- Strong attention to detail
Essential Criteria
- Qualifications in relevant areas such as project administration/HR and or related experience
- Excellent skills with Microsoft office packages (excel, word, outlook, publisher, power point)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and ability to work independently when required
- National Police Clearance
- Possession of an appropriate class motor vehicle driver’s license
