The Opportunity
Here at Telethon Kids, our world-class researchers are busy helping to improve the lives of children and young people and rely on a range of support networks in order to give them time to do what they do best, research!
We are currently looking for an experienced Administration Officer to provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to two of our teams, Geospatial Health & Development and Intervention and Infectious Diseases.
In this highly collaborative and varied role, your typical duties will include:
  • Diary management for both team heads including booking meetings, conferences and events.
  • Assist with booking local and international travel arrangements for different team members.
  • Assist the team with formatting templates and submission of scientific documents, publications and reports.
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors and dealing effectively with postal correspondence, telephone calls and emails, and diverting such correspondence to other staff where appropriate.
  • Manage dedicated team inbox, and other relevant channels.
Conveniently based at the Perth Children's Hospital, this role will be offered on a full-time basis for a period of two years.
About You
The successful applicant for this role will come with demonstrated experience providing extensive administrative support to a multidisciplinary team. Along with this, your application must also demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated evidence of process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative and set priorities to meet deadlines under pressure.
