Look no further! Alexandrina Council is on the hunt for an Administration Officer - Field Services, to join our team of local government all-stars. If you've got administrative experience within the construction and maintenance industry, along with a passion for providing exceptional administrative support, we'd love to hear from you!

About your role

In this role, you'll be the backbone of our Field Services team, providing professional support to both internal and external stakeholders as well the Alexandrina Council community. You'll work closely with our Customer Service team to ensure accurate and timely information is provided. Envision yourself as our administrative maestro, expertly conducting a symphony of efficiency and professionalism with style and a winning smile - the Alexandrina Council's virtuoso of seamless operations!

So what does a day in the life of Administration Officer Field Services look like?

  • You'll provide administration support to the Manager Field Services
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of Section 221 Applications and Authorisation
  • Liaise with contractors and raise purchase orders to delegated authority
  • Assist staff with training and information on administration processes and tasks, including the Microsoft suite of products and other council implemented programmes
  • Effectively and efficiently manage telephone and counter enquiries by providing accurate and timely advice and providing feedback as required

About you

With a natural flair for technology, you've mastered CiA software and other systems, ensuring the seamless integration of new tools and processes. As an enthusiastic team player, you understand the importance of clear communication and enjoy working alongside others to achieve shared goals. Your passion for progress is evident in your continuous efforts to drive system improvements and uplift those around you.

What's needed for your success?

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Council Corporate systems
  • Strong understanding of administrative processes, office procedures, and record-keeping
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • A solid understanding of the Local Government Act and Regulations
