About the Department for Correctional Services
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. Duties
The Sentence Administration Officer is accountable to the Team Leader Sentence Administration and is responsible for the provision of an efficient and quality administrative service by accurately processing warrants and maintaining documentation relating to prisoner remand and sentencing, movements, court appearances and non-parole periods.
Special Conditions
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;
- A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential;
- A flexible approach to working hours is required including participating in an extended hours service delivery up until 7 pm Monday to Friday
- Some interstate and intrastate travel with occasional interstate travel, involving visits to prisons and community corrections centres, and frequent overnight absences.
