Our Administration Team have several vacancies for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work in our team of Administration staff in supporting the hospital's Admissions and Reception.
As an Administration Officer your responsibilities will include:
- Manage a busy reception desk
- Answer and redirect calls on a busy switchboard
- Prepare admission paperwork
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
- Perform Health Fund Checks as required
- Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
- Coordinate with staff from other departments
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Ashford Hospital is located 5km south west of the Adelaide CBD. With 239 beds, it is one of South Australia's largest private hospitals. With a level 3 ICU, extensive cardiac services, angiography facilities, emergency department, obstetrics unit and medical / surgical wards it is considered to be a centre for clinical and medical excellence.
Selection Criteria:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Works well independently and within a team
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts over a 24/7 roster - early/late/overnight shifts & weekend work
- The successful candidate must be able to work up to full time hours if required
- WebPAS Hospital system experience (Desired)
- Knowledge of Private Health Funds (Desired)
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology (Desired)
