Form of workAPG Workforce are currently seeking an Administration Officer based in Mt Alford for our clients Hatchery site.
This position will support the Hatchery Manager in administrative tasks, requiring a hands-on approach due to the significant volume of chicks hatched each week. With numerous logistical aspects to manage, the role demands adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We seek an individual who can seamlessly integrate into our dynamic team and contribute effectively from day one.
This position goes beyond the typical administrative duties, as there may be occasions when you'll be called upon to assist in the hatchery with tasks such as caring for chicks, which may entail manual labor, cleaning, or packing.
The Role:
- $35.00 per hour, will be casual but full time hours 38 per week.
- 6am - 2pm, Monday to Friday
- May be required to help out in Hatchery at times
- The hatchery is describe as being a sterile and clean working environment with fertile hatched eggs, surrounded by incubators.
- Updating various registers and risk assessments
- Scheduling and reporting
- Records Management and document control, maintain and monitor routine maintenance tasks and documentation
- General administration tasks
- Some manual labor when required, cleaning and stock take.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Medium to advanced computer skills
- Can work autonomously and in a team environment
- Excellent people skills and the ability to liaise with personnel at all levels
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematically minded
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment to resolve problems or improve systems
- Background in poultry processing or food manufacturing desirable
- Physically fit
