Located 38 kilometres south of Mackay, DBCT P/L operates with a name plate capacity of 85 million tonnes per annum exporting coal from Central Queensland to ports around the world. This wouldn’t be possible without great people - people just like you.
This permanent position offers a great opportunity to work in a dynamic area, providing administration assistance to the Asset Management (ASM) teams. Working across all areas of Asset Management, this position offers a variety of duties for an Administration Officer who is eager to further develop their administrative skills.
Accountabilities will involve:
- Provision of support for day-to-day administrative activities including managing and prioritising enquiries, meeting requests, making travel and business arrangements and sharing information with external stakeholders;
- Maintenance of accurate ASM information systems and data collection practices, identifying and recommending improvement opportunities;
- Supporting the Asset Management business unit with document creation, records management and document control;
- Providing meeting support that includes scheduling, minute taking, preparing agendas, preparing presentations and requesting follow-up information and action items;
- Contribution to the preparation and distribution of both internal and external reports, including compilation and presentation of data through extraction of information to satisfy key stakeholder requirements;
- Organisation of travel and accommodation for ASM employees as requested;
- Other administrative tasks to support the teams.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative role, preferably within the mining, port or manufacturing industry;
- Demonstrated experience in providing support for meetings, such as drafting agendas, preparing documentation and taking minutes;
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and work independently to meet tight deadlines;
- High level computer literacy including an ability to effectively use MS Office suite at an intermediate level for MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Accurate and high-level data entry skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ideally, you will also have qualifications in office administration, for example Certificate III in Business or equivalent, coupled with a couple of years’ experience in a similar role.
