This is a targeted position in accordance with Policy Directive ( ) NSW Health Good Health - Great Jobs: Aboriginal Workforce Strategic Framework 2016 - 2020. About us:
- Our service, Out of Home Care (OOHC) is based at Awabakal Country | Wallsend health campus, comprises of a multidisciplinary team and Administration Officer who are geographically dispersed throughout the district but always available to support each other.
- We have a compassionate, kind and culturally sensitive team who are approachable and supportive.
- We hold regular meetings and strive to conduct in-person gatherings at least twice annually to facilitate effective communication.
- This exciting opportunity will involve our successful candidate in completing the following tasks, including but not limited to:
- Obtain consent from caseworkers to facilitate clinician appointments for children in OOHC
- Communicate with carers and caseworkers to arrange and schedule appointments with our clinicians
- Manage administrative duties, including room bookings, coordinating schedules between speech pathologists and occupational therapists, and completing tasks within specified timeframes while upholding a commitment to high-quality support services amid competing demands
- This role is 16 hours per week, however there is a potential for additional or casual hours, subject to negotiation.
- Four weeks annual leave (pro-rata for part-time employees)
- Superannuation contributions 11%
