About the role:
Initially a casual position with the possibility of permanence. Must be available to work full time for holiday rosters and relieve for sick days.
Administration role, including service of customers, understanding of products, answering phone calls and some data input with Myob.
Flexible working hours available.
An understanding of the construction industry would be advantageous. Responsible for all H&S & Environment compliance reporting.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the site H&S risk and compliance registers
- Establish, lead and monitor safety programs and systems to effectively manage high consequence safety risks
- Manage all aspects of occupational health and hygiene management including monitoring and statutory reporting
- Ensure that each work scope is correctly set up from a HSE perspective and is running in succession with correct site HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure H&S management is integrated into site operational planning and decision making
- Promote strong incident reporting and response culture
- Assist in the reporting and investigation of incidents and near misses and ensure relevant persons are advised in a timely manner
- Develop site specific Toolbox Talks and manage delivery.
Person profile
- Thorough understanding of the WHS legislation in Australia, in particular QLD construction.
- Excellent MS Word & Excel spreadsheet skills, understanding of MYOB would be helpful
- Current C Class driver’s license
