To respond to general customer inquiries and provide timely and accurate information and assistance to clients and staff to facilitate service delivery within the Hospital setting. - Organise and coordinate patient appointment activities, including the arrival of patients, booking appointments, management of cancellation/rescheduling of clinics, management of clinic waiting lists and coordinating appointments with other services. Ensuring transportation and follow up appointments are arranged.
- Perform reporting functions as appropriate, including bulk billing of patients according to treatment, item numbers and the Medicare schedule of benefits.
- Book in, book out, cancel and / or re-book outpatients and clinics on outpatient system. Ensuring transportation and follow up appointments are arranged.
- Prepare electronic and manual medical record for new and review patients including sorting and distributing patients results (e.g. pathology, x-ray, etc) in accordance with appropriate unit practices.
- Proficiently complete functions associated with the wait list of patients, booking for procedures/appointments, managing cancellations, rescheduling and removals from the waiting list using the relevant information systems in a timely manner.
