Salary: UOM 5 - $79,961 - $ 91,844 p.a. (pro-rata for part-time) plus 17% super

About the Role
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled Administrative Officer to join Associate Professor Michelle Peate's team at the Royal Women's Hospital. As a pivotal member, you will provide crucial administrative support to multifaceted roles, from research team leadership to engagement in various professional duties. Working in a dynamic environment, you'll manage diverse tasks, interact with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the development of innovative research initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting A/Prof Peate's academic and research goals by liaising with university, hospital, and funding bodies.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support, including diary management, travel arrangements, and grant applications.
  • Assisting in developing an online research skills training program for clinical/medical research.
  • Ensuring and maintaining efficient record management systems for correspondence and documentation.
  • Handling secretarial duties for committees, including scheduling, minute-taking, and organising meeting materials.
Who We Are Looking For
You excel in interpersonal interactions, fostering positive and discreet relationships across diverse professional levels and backgrounds. Your outstanding customer service and communication abilities enhance collaboration and cohesion within cross-campus departments.
You will also have:
  • Excellent administration skills, including writing, IT competency, and attention to detail.
  • Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working in a large complex and dynamic service-orientated research intensive or clinical environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and flexibly within a team to achieve results.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
