Applications are sought for a temporary full-time Administrative Officer for a busy Mental Health outpatients reception. Please see position description for further details about this position.
What you'll be doing
This position provides administrative support to multidisciplinary teams in a the Department of Psychological Medicine.
- Previous experience working in a variety of administration tasks including frontline reception preferably in a hospital/medical/Mental Health environment
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact appropriately with people under challenging circumstances both over the phone and face to face on a daily basis.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of the busy administration team, seeking assistance when required and providing assistance to other team members when required.
- Proficiency and demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Outlook, or similar email system with multiple person calendaring and scheduling (electronic diary) including accurate data entry skills.
- Excellent work ethics and conflict resolution skills including the ability to understand and adhere to constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills to manage and prioritise workload
- Fast and accurate typing skills with at least 45 w.p.m.
