What you'll be doing
The Social Work DepartmentAdministrative Officer is responsible for providing a high quality range of frontline administrative and support services to patients, families and carers accessing services through the Social Work Department of Westmead Hospital. The position supports the Social Work Service with day to day administrative duties, stock ordering and maintenance of allocated IT Assets.
The Level 3 Administrative Officer is able to demonstrate decision making in day to day operational matters, operates under broad supervision with some independent action and initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures.

Selection Criteria
- Extensive client related and administrative experience in a front-facing receptionist/customer service position.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills with a focussed and responsible approach to managing sensitive enquiries whilst maintaining strict confidentiality.
- High level computer literacy with demonstrated attention to detail and a very high level of accuracy when working with a range of computer systems
- Highly developed organisational and priority allocation skills with demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and meet busy work schedules
- Excellent verbal and written communication and conflict resolution skills applied to a customer service environment with the ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member to achieve quality service outcomes with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of consumers from a range of diverse cultural, linguistic, ethnic, and religious backgrounds
- Experience in providing quality customer service and/or developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to the organisation.
