Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
As a Ward Clerk you will provide safe and effective support to the staff, patients/clients and carers of Western Sydney Local Health Network. You will also be responsible for:

  • Carrying out reception duties for the ward(s).
  • Developing and maintaining systems for timely and accurate data and information.
  • Supporting nursing staff in the provision of care.
  • Offering friendly and professional customer service to families, carers, and patients.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience using patient database systems such as iPM or Cerner.
  2. Demonstrated clerical or administration experience in a health, hospital or medical environment.
  3. Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Windows including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  4. Demonstrated experience in working in a fast paced environment with strong organisational and time management skills.
  5. Demonstrated experience in dealing with patients/customers and their families/carers.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
