ABOUT THE ROLE
The Advisor, Portfolio Management Office (PMO), is responsible for the operation of AMSA's PMO, including managing the delivery of services detailed in the PMO's service catalogue, and working with stakeholders to ensure frameworks and practices are fit-for-purpose.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading, managing and developing the PMO team.
- Supporting AMSA's Portfolio Board in strategic prioritisation, and reporting on project and program performance.
- Managing the development and maintenance of AMSA's P3M Framework.
- Associated P3M communication, awareness and education.
- Promoting the value and services of the PMO across the organisation.
- Assisting the Portfolio Board with portfolio risk management and change initiatives.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing a PMO or similar,
- Experience in managing projects/programs in an environment with a mature PMO,
- Solid knowledge of P3M frameworks and methodologies, such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, MSP, and P3O,
- Experience in the development and implementation of program/project management frameworks, governance, policies, processes, procedures and artefacts,
- Highly developed interpersonal / communication skills in engaging stakeholders, mentoring, reporting, negotiation, and project/program documentation, and
- Advanced skills in using the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio) and MS Project.
