Aerodrome Maintenance and Reporting Officer

Berrigan Shire Council is seeking applications for the position of Aerodrome MaintenanceReporting Officer. The primary purpose of the position of this position is to operate Council’s plant in a competent and efficient manner in order to support the maintenance teams, undertake the role of Aerodrome Reporting Officer to support the Tocumwal Aerodrome facility.

Within the area of responsibility, this role is required but not limited to:   

• Drive airside in a fully equipped plant, listening, observing, monitoring and Reporting on all activities taking place on the aerodrome.

• Conduct twice weekly inspections to ensure aerodrome movement areas are free from foreign objects, wildlife, damaged surfaces, weed ingress, or faulty lighting.

• Assist in the development and implementation of the Aerodrome Maintenance program including participating the wildlife hazard program.

• Maintain the grounds as needed for the purpose of maintaining the Aerodrome and preventing damage and / or limiting liability.

• Ensure compliance with government aviation regulations, aerodrome policies and procedures, personal protective equipment and all other related requirements, as applies to Tocumwal Aerodrome.

This is permanent position, classified at Band 9 Entry Level under Council’s salary structure with a salary range based on qualifications and experience from $62,928.09 to $68,586.96per annum plus 11% statutory superannuation, 76-hour 9-day fortnight. Conditions are in accordance with Local Government (State) Award 2020.
