IGA Osoborne Park store is seeking an experienced Duty Manager/Assistant Manager to join our team.
The position can be a casual based on a 3-5 day rosters or a full-time based 40-45 hours/week if you want, and it is essential that applicants are prepared to work from 5 afternoons until close at 8pm. Experience of managing is essential. The pay depends on your experience and how much value you can brings to the shop.
This hands on role will include but not limited:
- Dealing with Stealing
- Supervising, inducting and training team members
- Receiving, replenishing and maintaining high standards of stock presentation in the store
- Customer Service
- Overseeing store operations, opening and closing the store in the absence of the Store Manager
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring stock levels are adequate, rotated, and department presentation is well maintained
- Ensuring security procedures are followed
- Learning every aspect of running a store
- Help develop, guide and motivate a capable team of store staff of the highest quality and standard
- Minimise costs by tightly controlling inventory losses, quality of contractor’s work, minimising staff turnover and maximising productivity
- Have experience in managing a department
- Be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy and reliable
- Have good communication skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
