Oversee and manage freight, warehouse workers, linehaul allocations & drivers to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate warehouse and linehaul operations.
The role is responsible for the supervision of the PM operation and frontline linehaul operations ensuring all freight is sorted and distributed to customers within designated timeslots. Supervisor is required to optimise the usage of company and subcontractor equipment/resources in a cost effective and efficient manner. This role is permanent, Monday – Friday
• Oversee the activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of freight.
• Manage the vehicles entering and departing the depot, ensuring compliance with DSC standards and legal requirements.
• Oversee and ensure all vehicles are unloaded and loaded in accordance with company policies and procedures with safety front of mind for all workers.
• Manage line-haul vehicles to ensure they are meeting scheduled loading and departure timeframes.
• Oversee and manage speed compliance of all Linehaul drivers.
• Manage and communicate freight movement to ensure systematic and consistent freight sortation.
• Oversee the condition of incoming/outgoing vehicles to ensure all are compliant and follow all maintenance procedures when required.
• Conduct regular safety and vehicle checks to ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements.
• Manage inbound/outbound vehicles to ensure freight is sorted in a manner that adheres to scheduled loading and departure timeframes.
• Manage the process of unloading and loading vehicles, to ensure vehicles are unloaded/loaded safety, timely and in accordance with company requirements.
• Proactively manage company vehicles and forklifts in a cost effective and resourceful manner. Achieving efficient use of warehouse capabilities.
