What does the job look like?
Linfox is partnered with Australia’s leading Resources and Industrial companies, providing specialised logistics services across the country. We are seeking a Transport Supervisor to support daily transport activities with our highly valued and long-term customer based at Marsden Park.
This role is an ideal opportunity for development, working closely with supply chain experts to ensure appropriate resources are available and utilized to meet demand whilst maintaining a safe working environment for employees and our sub-contracting partners. Key areas:
- Allocate equipment and drivers to deliver operational efficiency with a focus on load consolidation
- Effective management and development of driver workforce to provide efficiency
- Proactive relationship management with customer and key stakeholders
- Plan efficient timeslots with a focus on safety, COR and load restraint
- Work closely with our sub-contracting partners to maintain network capacity
- Validation of order information from the customer and assignment of loads to drivers
- Proactive safety and compliance management with a focus on health and wellbeing
Are you the one?
The Transport Supervisor is the key customer contact with operational, safety and customer responsibilities so perfect for someone looking for growth and development. As a proactive person with a high attention to detail and passion for supply-chain you will hit the ground running. You can demonstrate:
- Experience in a similar role within a transport operations or customer service environment
- An understanding of heavy vehicle safety and compliance
- Exposure to TMS or similar data entry software with a highly developed attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with a passion for industry and commitment to continuous improvement
- Experience using Excel and SAP will be highly regarded
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and pressures
