About the role
The Aged Care Educator will support a learning culture that contributes to the delivery of high-quality care to residents/clients in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and will ensure that evidence-based best practices are maintained.
This position will design and deliver tailored training programs to team members primarily working in residential Aged Care and community home care services, while also supporting other departments in the organisation with education as required. You will also provide support to Vasey RSL Care team members involved in onsite student placement programs.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be kind, resident/client focussed and demonstrate passion for the development of knowledge, skills and understanding of people providing quality care.
You will be a Registered Nurse (with current AHPRA registration) with highly developed clinical skills in the Aged Care sector and relevant experience as a clinical educator in a healthcare setting.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated experience in training and education, including strong presentation skills and an understanding of training design.
- Ability to logically evaluate information, identify salient issues and draw sound conclusions.
- Ability to work effectively in a leadership team.
- Responsiveness and highly developed time management skills with the ability to respond to changing situational circumstances and pressures.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Willingness to undergo a National police check
- Proof of rights to work in Australia
