SalaryWe have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Aged Care Worker to work in our Men's Shed and Social Connection Programs, supporting the elderly to live better. We are now hiring at our Hawthorn location. We are looking for experienced Aged Care professional with a great attitude, caring nature that are team players and has an interest and skills required to support our Men's Shed program.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of social activity programs in a way that supports client independence, via centre based, group and 1:1 method - this can be in a residential or home environment.
- Well-developed time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Understanding of client confidentiality and information privacy
- Experience in Aged Care
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
- Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a friendly, professional manner
- Experience with power tools and machinery
- Interest in woodworking or other small handyman jobs
- Ability to drive a 12-seater bus (Van) no special licence required.
You MUST have or be willing to get:
- A satisfactory National Criminal Police Record Check (PRC) is required prior to commencement - We will cover the cost.
- Working with Children Check
- Current and valid Driver's License (must have)
- Covid Vaccines x 3 (must have)
- Preparedness to use your own roadworthy and comprehensively insured motor vehicle if required.
- A requirement to have an annual Flu vaccination.
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or Leisure and Lifestyle (must have)
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
