Community Support Projects Officer
- Play a key role in supporting major community infrastructure projects.
- Part time, fixed-term position (until 30 June 2026) working 22.8 hours per week.
- $96,365 - $104,848 (pro rata to be applied) per annum plus Super
This part-time (22.8 hours per week) fixed-term position is responsible for supporting major community infrastructure projects within the Health and Wellbeing and Library Services Departments of Council, although given the scope of the projects, several other Service Departments are also heavily involved.
A little bit about the role
Reporting to the Senior Community Support project Officer, the position will contribute to the development and delivery of three major projects, the redevelopment of the Kew Library, the Kew Recreation Centre redevelopment, and the redevelopment of the Tuck Stand and Glenferrie Oval.
The role will coordinate the feasibility and design process through consultation and stakeholder management throughout the project, including everything that contributes to the end user experience.
A little bit about you
You will have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, be personable and approachable and able to engage with a range of key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure they are adequately accommodated through the various stages of any project.
You will have demonstrated experience in project management of community infrastructure projects.
You will also have proven experience with designing and implementing community consultation and engagement.
You will also have comprehensive computer skills across the Microsoft Office range of applications and a willingness to work as part of a team, prepared to share experiences with other team members to improve overall knowledge.
The successful incumbent will also have:
- excellent time management and organisation skills, and
- a commitment to quality outcomes and efficient work practices.
