About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will actively support the individual needs of elderly Australians who access our Community Care services in Maroochydore and surrounding local areas. You will help our clients to continue living independently in their own homes through the provision of personal care, social support and some domestic assistance. This is a Permanent Part Time position with flexible hours available that can be between school hours if required. You will assist multiple clients throughout the day and be required to provide transport for clients, so a valid Australian Drivers Licence is essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Social supports inclusive of support to attend medical appointments, social activities in the local community, building/maintaining social networks
- In-home supports inclusive of meal preparation and assistance with daily living
- Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and well-being (for example, identification of wound care needs, skin integrity, etc)
- Domestic assistance may be included. This consists of light cleaning duties, changing of bed linen, washing/laundry
Skills & Experience
- A current unrestricted drivers licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum 3rd party insurance
- Certificate III in Aged Care or similar (or intent to attain relevant qualifications in the immediate future) or other relevant experience
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Prior experience working in the community with ageing clients will be highly regarded
- Ability to develop positive relationships with clients and support their individual care plans as appropriate
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check.
