This is an exciting opportunity to work on the North West Coast of Tasmania leading a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based and innovative clinical mental health services to young people aged 12-25.
Cornerstone Youth Services (CYS) is currently seeking a full time Clinical Lead for their Devonport and Burnie headspace services. The Clinical Lead will ensure the multidisciplinary team provides high quality clinical care in an integrated and coordinated way. The multidisciplinary team offers a range of holistic therapeutic interventions to promote positive mental health and wellbeing to young people, their families and caregivers.
The Clinical Lead will engage with relevant stakeholders to provide coordinated service provision, clinical care pathways for young people and secondary consultation.
The Clinical Lead will be responsible for:
- Supervision, support and guidance of clinicians
- Recruitment and professional development of clinicians
- Ensuring best practice and continuous quality improvement
The Clinical Lead will lead activities such as multi-disciplinary clinical meetings, caseload supervision, actively manage referrals and demand for clinical services and carry a small caseload.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Approved tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing or Occupational Therapy.
- Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Demonstrated experience in providing Clinical Leadership and supervision
- Demonstrated experience in mental health assessments, case formulation and therapeutic interventions
- A current Working With Vulnerable People check

CYS provides high quality primary and clinical health services as well as information, advice and referrals for young people, their families and caregivers. CYS works across the youth mental health sector in developing innovative and responsive models of service provision and strives to excel in the delivery of services to young people. CYS also works in partnership with government and non-government organisations, services users and the community.
