As we expand our services, we are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Welfare Services Manager to join our team. Your expertise and
passion will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization, and we need you to help us achieve our goal of delivering
exceptional care to our community.
Responsibilities:
As the Manager of Welfare Services, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Providing comprehensive strategic direction and oversight for Abu Care Services in our various operations in the client welfare space.
2. Representing Abu Care Services in our day to day activities including at various industry fora, roundtables (including negotiations with our key
stakeholders) as well as attending at occasional conventions, seminars, public hearings, and meetings with interested parties.
3. Initiating and cultivating partnerships/relationships with comparable organizations, welfare industry stakeholders, and community centers.
4. Overseeing the recruitment, training, and supervision of our welfare provision team so that we can continue to deliver an optimal service for
those clients we serve.
5. Coordinating and administering welfare programs to our client base in the various sectors that Abu Care Services caters to.
6. Formulating, curating, implementing, and overseeing optimal client welfare procedures, systems, policies, and standards for our team and the
provision of the Welfare Services Abu Care Services provides.
7. Managing Abu Care Services' administrative operations, encompassing budget planning, report preparation, and expenditure on supplies,
resources, equipment, and services.
8. Developing and executing high-quality care plans for individuals under the NDIS, DVA, and Home Care packages program, including the
management of clients' government funding and budgets.
9. Conducting initial assessments to engage with clients, discuss goals, services, and available options.
10. Assisting clients throughout their community aged and disability/veterans' care and welfare journey, serving as their advocate, and facilitating
connections with pertinent services, other stakeholders and healthcare providers.
11. Maintaining regular communication with clients and stakeholders, monitoring their needs, and consistently reassessing, reviewing, and
updating care plans.
12. Thriving in a multicultural workplace, demonstrating sensitivity to diverse cultural contexts, and effectively communicating with clients from
various backgrounds, diversities and languages.
13. Collaborating seamlessly with rostering coordinators and working together as a team to ensure efficient and effective scheduling of our care
and Welfare Services.

Qualifications and Requirements
1. A minimum Bachelor's degree related to Welfare Services or a related field. 2. Experience and qualifications in Mental Health is desirable.
3. Proven managerial experience with a minimum of 2 years in the healthcare or welfare/care sector.
4. Demonstrated strong negotiation and partnership-building skills.
5. Knowledge of NDIS, DVA, and Home Care packages, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in managing budgets and overseeing the
functioning of these programs.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in more than one language is desirable.
7. Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.

Proficiency in more than one language (other than English). This skill enhances communication with our diverse clients many of who are from
Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, fostering a deeper understanding of individual needs and cultural needs. It contributes to
building trust and connection, as speaking a client's native language creates an immediate sense of rapport. Language proficiency facilitates
effective communication with family members, enabling a collaborative approach to care. Proficiency in multiple languages is a strategic
advantage that positions our managers to deliver superior, personalized, and compassionate care within our multicultural community.
Full-Time Position:
Salary Range: $100,000 per annum
