Are you passionate about providing compassionate care to the elderly and individuals with disabilities? Kimberley Care Group is currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Aged or Disabled Care Workers to join our team on a full-time basis. 

Position:Aged or Disabled Care Worker 

Location: West Kimberley (Broome or Derby locations) 

Salary: $63,000 - $70,000 per year (commensurate with experience) plus superannuation

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide personalised care and support to elderly individuals and those with disabilities 
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistance 
  • Administer medications and assist with medical appointments as required 
  • Foster meaningful social interactions and companionship with clients 
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the well-being of clients 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided 
  • Helping people to set and achieve goals 
  • Providing transport, attending appointments and advocating on behalf of NDIS participants and Aged Care clients 
  • Arranging social activities and assisting with household tasks and activities like cleaning, meals and showering. 
  • Coordinating and implementing individual care plans in accordance with NDIS and Aged Care guidelines. 

Requirements:  

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Care, or relevant qualification 
  • Previous experience in aged care or Disability support preferred 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Compassionate and patient demeanour 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment 
  • Willingness to undergo relevant background checks and obtain necessary clearances
