This exciting role
We are recruiting for permanent full time Aged and Disabled Carers. You must able to stand your ground and possess a strong personality. Candidates must be able to work a rotating roster ranging from day, night and weekend shifts.
You will be expected to provide a high level of personalised support, care and compassion to a range of both aged and disabled clients in their own home. You will work closely with participants, management and family members to ensure participants are able to enjoy life in a meaningful, safe and caring environment.
Responsibilities
- Physically capable of hoisting and manual handling.
- Build strong rapport and trust with the individuals you support and their primary caregivers.
- Provision of personal care and light domestic duties
- Complete job tasks in accordance with participant plans in a timely manner
- Write and maintain accurate written records and documentation
- Taking care of high needs clients
About You
- Certificate III or IV in Disability or similar industry qualifications.
- Experience supporting clients with dementia.
- experience supporting clients with high mental health and challenging behaviours.
- Personal care experience.
- Confident in building rapport with client and key stakeholders.
- Ability to apply understanding of ‘duty of care’ to delivering support services and escalate issues when needed.
- A strong work ethic, a positive outlook and the ability to remain calm and professional while under pressure.
- Own reliable transport.
- National Police Check, Yellow Card and Blue Card.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
