About the role:
We are currently searching for a registered or enrolled nurse and Support Workers who will be tasked to provide direct care to a participant who displays challenging behaviours and requires physical support. The participants require care on a 24/7 roster with 2 staff to 1 participant ratio during the morning and afternoon.
Duties will include:
- Providing direct medical care to the participant
- Educate and train relevant team to perform correct PEG hygiene requirements to minimize infections
- Complete all routine PEG changes
- Provide clinically sound judgement for all PRN administration
- Maintain and update participant care plan
- Report writing (including shift notes and incident reports)
- Attending allied health appointments and stakeholders meetings as require
- Ensuring compliance with medications book and clinical documentation audits
- Facilitate training of new staff in relation to PEG feeding and other key areas
- Foster a positive team culture
Hourly rates will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.

The successful applicant will have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing and relevant experience
- Only candidates willing to travel to both locations will be considered (no overseas sponsorships currently available)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate required
- Current Blue & NDIS Worker Clearance Cards required
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate required
- NDIS Worker Orientation Modules or willing to obtain
- COVID-19 Infection Control Module or willing to obtain
- Mental Health First Aid or willing to obtain
