If you've got 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including 2+ years recent experience as an Agile BA and Scrum Master then we want to hear from you!So what will you be doing? You’ll be working as part of a dynamic team on a top-notch custom technology stack in the middle of an exciting digital transformation project that will set BizCover up for global domination and power our business for years to come.You’ll be a key player in driving the project forward, initially leading your squad in the implementation of insurance products in-platform with a view to moving onto feature development once this essential part of the project is complete.At BizCover, the Senior Business Analyst:
- Owns their team’s backlog and works with the wider Delivery Team on delivering priority initiatives for the re-platforming project.
- Leads their own scrum team, facilitating all scrum ceremonies and working with their squad to estimate and deliver on planned work and remove impediments to progress.
- Coaches their squad in Agile best practice and continuous improvement.
- Owns the process of defining and refining user stories for their squad, including creating clear requirements and acceptance criteria to enable the engineering and QA teams to build products and features correctly.
- Works with the Delivery Lead to prioritise stories for their squad
- Works with the Delivery lead to resolve impediments that relate to vision or story content.
- Acts as the ‘bridge’ between business stakeholders and the engineering and QA teams, facilitating communication and understanding across the business.
- Works with stakeholders across the business to understand business requirements and end user impacts and to gain alignment and buy-in for solutions and their priority.
- Acts as the customer for developer questions.
- Measures and monitors feature/product performance.
- ·Minimum 5-years’ experience as a Business Analyst, including at least 2 years recent experience as an Agile BA / Scrum master
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand priorities based on business value and implementation effort.
- Certified in Agile and has attended Agile training.
- Good understanding of Design Thinking/Human Centred Design practices
- Basic working understanding of Jira and Confluence and facilitation tools, e.g. Miro and Team Retro
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Decisive and able to make local decisions which are aligned to enterprise objectives
- Strong negotiation skills and able to facilitate alignment and support of key stakeholders in the organisation to make decisionsActively seeks feedback from team and customers
