Agronomist - Dryland Production and Extension- Dubbo

They provide growers with fast and effective answers to current production constraints via effective research and Extension activities. You will be responsible for developing customised research trials, ensuring fast turn around of results and then disseminate findings at key meetings / grower updates throughout the year. The work includes varietal trials, crop protection, nutritional, adjuvant, IPM, and new agronomy practices.
Duties:
Design, preparation, implementation and of field trial activities to investigate key production constraints.
Compilation and communication of outcomes to growers / key industry agronomists at key field days.
Also communicate research findings via electronic updates, trial booklets, GRDC updates and other relevant extension activity.
The successful applicant will:
Be a highly organised, motivated and committed person with a passion for agricultural research.
Have a Degree in Agricultural Science and 3+ years of experience in the area of dryland agronomy
Advanced computer skills with word processing, spreadsheet, database and statistical software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders within the industry.
