About the Role
As a Senior Social Worker (Truancy), you will play a crucial rolein providing professional support and supervision to Social Workers(Truancy). Working closely with preschools and schools, your focuswill be on delivering proactive and targeted services to supportchildren, young people, and their families in addressingattendance, engagement, and retention concerns. You will alsoassist the Team Manager in recruitment activities and provideinduction and professional support to Social Workers, ensuringadherence to professional and service delivery standards. Youwill:
- Provide effective and efficient professional support, development, and supervision to Social Workers (truancy positions).
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate professional and service delivery standards, with a focus on outcomes achieved.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify needs and determine service priorities.
- Apply evidence-based interventions and strategies for children and young people with attendance, engagement, and retention issues.
- Deliver proactive services across various settings, such as groups, whole sites, partnerships, and communities.
- Manage and prioritize personal workload through effective workload management plans and efficiency initiatives.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve work practices and services, monitor service access and outcomes, and contribute to ongoing service evaluation.
- Solicit client feedback, respond to complaints and feedback positively, and participate in investigations to drive service improvements.
- Contribute to research, service development, innovative practices, and initiatives within the discipline and across professional teams.
- Collaborate and liaise with non-government and government organizations, supporting interagency initiatives.

- An appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. (Essential)

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN–EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect -Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course orthe online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to beupdated every three years.

Remuneration
AHP3: $102,641 - $110,094 per annum plus superannuation
