QDAT’s (Quants, Data, Analytics and Technology) purpose is to power, transform & grow IB&M, supporting its strategy via a centre of excellence using data, mathematics, insights, and technology to deliver exceptional results for our clients and the wider Group.See yourself in our teamWe are a highly driven AI engineers responsible for developing AI solutions across IB&M in close cooperation with the central decision science team. As part of the Systematic Markets Artificial Intelligence (AI) Team we focus on value-add use cases across machine learning and generative AI with end-to-end responsibility from use case definition to model development, model productionization and embedding solutions.On a day-to-day basis:Develop generative AI solutions for our coverage bankers and clients in close cooperation with the implementation of our Customer Relationship Management system for IB&MCollaborate with CBA’s central AI scientists and engineers to define the architecture and AI specific toolsDevelop value-add generative AI solutions for our people and clients within CBA’s tech stackWe are interested in hearing from people who havePlease note that we’re interested in hearing from people who might not meet all the following criteria. We’re open to working with the right candidate to fill any skill gaps during your journey at CommBank.Proven experience in delivering end-to-end solutions directly to business usersStrong programming skills in Python, experience with writing tests and version controlProven experience in building Generative AI solutions and platforms either open-source or leveraging vendor modelsPractical experience in either Institutional banking products (lending, transaction banking) or financial markets products and Relationship driven business models is advantageousAn innate ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, together, developing use casesSelf-starter with strong attention to detail with a passion and understanding for the financial marketsA degree in mathematics, computer science, actuary studies, data science, engineering, or related fieldDemonstrable experience with AI cloud platforms such as AWS Bedrock, AWS Sagemaker and Azure ML studioWorking with usWe support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in our Sydney office.We also have many other flexible working options available including changing start and finish times, part-time arrangements and job share to name a few.
