Qualifications / Experience
Essential:
Candidates should hold the minimum PCN Level 2 or equivalent ISO 9712 certifications where required, with proven experience in the following:
- AICIP / API Pressure Equipment Inspection
- Radiographic Testing (RT) & Victorian Radiation Safety License
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Magnetic Particle (MT)
- Liquid Penetrant (PT)
Desirable:
- Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
- Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)
- Eddy Current Testing (ECT)
- Welding Inspector Qualification
- NACE Coating Inspection certification
- Rope Access IRATA certification
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that the work area is safe to carry out NDT activities
- Ensuring inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification and procedures
- Carrying out a range of NDT inspection techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies etc., in order to establish acceptability to specification
- Carrying out the most effective NDT techniques to components requiring inspection
- Evaluating results of the test in accordance with applicable specifications / procedures
- Producing clear and concise reports detailing the methods used and results of the inspection
- Ensuring any limitations of the inspection or deviations from the work scope are clearly documented and communicated to the Client / Coordinator at the earliest opportunity
Applicants should offer the following skills and experience:
- Excellent Safety culture within Industry standards
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in operational environments
- Experience in all qualified testing methods
- Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing and inspection technology used by the Company performing NDT
- Knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry including related Legislation, Acts and Regulations, Industry Standards and Codes and NATA requirements
- Excellent communication skills and be self sufficient
- Good level of computer literacy
