The Opportunity
We are seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures. The role is based at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland and will support a diverse team on an exciting and rewarding programs.
Your role:
* Structures aircraft and component servicing
* Provide direction and supervision as necessary
* Undertake structures Quality Inspection activities
* Completion of assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of activities, requiring the application of training provided in accordance with the appropriate documentation
* Contribute to improvements in the performance of the team
* Ensuring all maintenance tasks carried out are IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentation
* Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and procedures
* Liaise with 21J Design Organisation and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation in relation to repair design and incorporation
* Be available for both A Shift and B Shift, rostering in rotation with other section members
Skills and Experience:
* Certificate IV in Aero skills (Structures)
* Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) procedures
* Hold or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1
* Meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
* Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
* Hold a C class driver's license
Desirable Criteria:
* Elevated Work Platform TLILIC2005A or equivalent
* Work Safely at Heights RIIOHS204A or equivalent
* Composite repair training IAW DASR 145.A.30(f) AMC1. Composite Specialist Course (216309) or equivalent Adhesive Bonding Techniques (112570)
* Composite and Bonding recertification - currency within the last 3 years (36 months)
* Confined Space training
