The Role
An APS2 Aircraft Refueler will perform work against established priorities and procedures. They will be responsible for the completion of allocated tasks within required timeframes and procedures which are subject to close monitoring by more senior Defence employees.
They may be required to undertake a range of procedural, clerical and administrative support tasks to support their work unit. They will contribute to team discussions to achieve outcomes and will seek assistance when required.
Roles performed may include but are not limited to:
- Provide aircraft refuelling and defueling IAW Standing Instructions and Orders.
- Conduct fuel testing and quality maintenance activities for aviation fuel supplies.
- Carry out Non Technical Inspections and data entry for fleet aviation refuel assets.
- Raise MILIS & RGM maintenance requests as required.
- IAW SAFETYMAN, Unit, Base and command instructions, comply with all WHS policy and directives.
About our Team
24SQN is the Airbase Operational Support squadron for RAAF Base Edinburgh.
You will be working within the Defence Fuel Installations (DFIs) part of Mechanical Equipment Operations and Maintenance Section (MEOMS) whose core functions are the maintenance of Ground Support Equipment (GSE). It is a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
