The Role You Could Play
As a Team Leader you will act as our on-floor leaders and daily subject matter experts (SMEs), overseeing the day-to-day tasks of small sub-departmental teams. Team Leaders act as the daily point of contact for our team members, troubleshooting task issues, training new team members, and overseeing the daily resource allocation against daily volume projections.
Our Team Leaders attend daily operational meetings within their respective departmental zone, to receive updates from the reporting Zone Manager on the Team Leaders’ area key targets and objectives for the day.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Allocate day-to-day resources against expected volume targets
- Train, coach and mentor new team members and contractors
- Ensure team members follow our policies, protocols, and operational requirements
- Foster a team culture which represents our company values
- Escalate key team member grievances, absences and performance concerns
- Ensure team members act with a safety-first mindset, investigate safety issues and call out safety concerns
We also look for Team Leaders who have the adaptability and desire to rotate through the wider DC operations, to provide support as and when required.
What You Will Bring
You will have proven experience co-ordinating and/or managing diverse teams, with a solid understanding of the day-to-day operations of large warehouses. You will be able to prioritise your daily workload and effectively motivate team members to achieve KPIs and deadlines.
Our ideal candidate will also have the following:
- Experience in online fulfillment is highly desirable
- Experience operating within an RF scanning and/or automated environment
- Experience in using Warehouse Packages and Microsoft Office programs
- Demonstrated interest in and ability to implement continuous improvement changes
- A strong focus on customer service
