The AIR 5428 Pilot Training System partners with the Australian Defence Force for development of its military pilot workforce at four operating bases, RAAF Base East Sale, RAAF Base Pearce, RAAF Base Edinburgh, and RAAF Base Williamtown. Implementing a tailored learning solution, Lockheed Martin leads the delivery of this approach for all Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army candidates; as well as supporting operations for other key Australian Defence Force aviation units.
You will support the Commonwealth Programmer in the management and co-ordination of the Joint Ops Programming Cell. Provide support to PC-21 Operating units in the promulgation of the Pilot Training System Flying Programs. Assist the PC-21 Enterprise in improving operations planning and communication. Coordinating routine and ad hoc events including Working Groups, Boards, other key events as directed.
About you:

• Significant experience in personnel and asset scheduling.
• Demonstrated business acumen including the ability to investigate, comprehend, and interpret complex business challenges.
• Advanced problem-solving skills, including ability to develop solutions to complex problems through the use of ingenuity and creativity.
• Advanced communication and influencing skills including the ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, updates and other documentation to a wide range of stakeholders.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience in the use of flight scheduling or comparable scheduling software e.g. ULTRA Flight Pro. (Desirable)
• Military planning and administration experience. (Desirable)
• Data analysis and reporting experience. (Desirable)
• Experience working in a Quality & Safety focused environment. (Desirable)
• Hold or be able to successfully obtain a Senior First Aid certificate. (Desirable)

Special Requirements:
Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable Baseline with the view to obtain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining and amending Mission System demand requirements, based upon and in response to adjustments to the Annual Flying Program (AFP), Weekly Flying Program (WFP) and Daily Flying Programs (DFP) for each Flying Unit
• Development of the PTS Flying Programs.
• Oversee the unit PROGO/s in the delivery of programming services of the ground and flying components of the PTS Flying programs.
• Coordinate ground school activities with LMA Chief Ground Instructor.
• Oversee the planning of ground and flying training delivery, accounting for other planned Unit activities, in accordance with the unit plans, activities and the AFP
• Conduct trend analysis to identify friction factors, and program wide efficiencies and opportunities in the delivery of training within the PTS.
• Attend all Programming meetings to outline long range PTS requirements to and liaise with support agencies to facilitate required support to PTS flying operations.
• Liaise with all internal users of the Pilot Training System to promulgate short to medium range Ground and Flying events.
• Contribute information to and complete relevant PTS reports and returns.
• Fulfil contractor PROGO roles and responsibilities as required.
